ReplyDeleteAnd I have a impression that most of examinations in american universities are conducted as a interview with the professor.
For the system of american high schools, I don't have any ideas... But for the situation of the students, with watching american dramas or movies, I get a impression that the cheerleaders and the members of football club have the initiative in the students and that they are sometimes nasty to the withdrawn or indoor-type students, though they are also star of all students.

I've studied in America when I was 14 years old in school program but only for a week.

I stayed at American familie. I know quite a few about American education, but I have some impressions of American school.
1 More free than in Japan. No uniform, students are treated or behave equally as teacher in class room.
2 They have much time to play outside after school, but at home they study quite well(of course it depends on person).
3 More American students study alone, at home or in library than Japanese?
These are just impressions so I'm not sure if they are much to the actuality....
